What are the best external flashes for a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV that I can get by Friday? My main gear just died and I have a wedding to shoot in Chicago, I'm panicking lol.

I looked at the Canon 600EX but it's so expensive and people online keep mentioning Godox V1... is that actually any good for professional work?

Ngl you should totally grab the Godox V1-C Flash for Canon right now! I was shooting a summer wedding in a dark venue last year and my old flash kept recycling so slowly I missed the first kiss... it was a nightmare. I switched to the V1 and that 1.5s recycle time is a literal lifesaver! The round head gives such a soft, natural falloff compared to the harsh rectangular edges on the Canon Speedlite 600EX II-RT. Plus the lithium battery lasts forever... I did a full 10-hour day on one charge! Heres why its better for your Chicago shoot:

  • Round head magnetic modifiers are amazing for quick changes during the reception.
  • 76Ws power is plenty for bouncing light off high ceilings.
  • Built-in 2.4G wireless works perfectly with the Godox XPro-C TTL Wireless Flash Trigger. Honestly, for the price, its fantastic gear for pro work. You wont regret it!
