My sisters baby shower is literally in three weeks and Im losing my mind trying to coordinate the registry. Ive been the go-to person for event planning in my family for years and usually I just handle things through Amazon or a single site but the parents-to-be have these super specific tastes. They want stuff from this tiny boutique in Brooklyn, a few things from Target, and then some high-end gear from Nordstrom. I thought I could just use one of those universal registry apps but the sync is failing on the boutique site because they use some weird proprietary backend that doesnt seem to play nice with the standard scrapers. I tried manually adding links but it looks like a total mess and doesnt update the stock levels or pricing in real-time which is a huge deal because things are selling out fast. Ive got a budget of about $2k for the group gift portion so I really need a way to aggregate these lists where the UI isnt garbage and the data actually refreshes. Is there a way to force an API connection or maybe a specific browser extension that actually works for niche retailers without making the guests jump through a million hoops to mark things as bought? Im running out of time and really dont want to end up with three different strollers because the lists didnt talk to each other...
