How do I send my Amazon gift list to someone quickly?

I am so confused right now. I made this whole list of toys for my nieces birthday party on Saturday and I need to send it to my sister like right now so she can check it but I cant find a button for it. I thought maybe I just copy the address at the top of the page? I did that and sent it in a text but she said it just took her to her own empty cart so that was a fail. My logic was that a link is a link but I guess not. I am usually okay with computers but Amazon is making me feel so dumb today. Where is the actual button to share this thing? I'm in such a rush...

Just catching up on this thread. I went through this exact same headache when I was trying to organize a graduation list and half the family couldnt see anything because of the privacy settings. You really have to be careful with how the list is categorized before you even try to send it or it just wont work. I would suggest following these specific steps to make sure she can actually see those toys:

  • Open your specific list and look for the Invite button right under the list title.
  • Make sure to select the View Only option so your sister doesnt accidentally delete your items while browsing.
  • Double check the Manage List menu to ensure the privacy is set to Shared or Public. If it still fails, you might want to consider using the Send list to others link specifically. Copying the address bar link is usually where things go wrong because that URL is tied to your private session and wont let anyone else in.

Hit the Invite button! Im obsessed with filtering by deals to save tons on toys.

  • Click Invite
  • Copy link Try Share Product to pull items from 50 sites!

Omg I did this exact same thing for my sons birthday and felt like such a dork when nobody could see the toys!! I was rushing around and sweating because the party was starting and I thought I broke the internet haha. Once I found the real button though it was a total game changer and so amazing! Basically you just gotta click the Invite button at the top right of your list and choose the View Only option. That generates a special link meant for sharing! Copying the address bar only shows people their own account info. This little button is seriously a life saver and makes sharing lists so much faster!!

Re: "Works great for me" - unfortunately, I have to disagree because I have been having nothing but issues with this lately. It is honestly so disappointing when you are trying to be meticulous with a budget and stay organized. I spend hours hunting for the best warehouse deals or clipping digital coupons, and then the share feature just breaks or hides the savings from the other person. I have been dealing with the same headaches for years now:

  • Shared links often strip away the specific promotional pricing I found.
  • Recipients get redirected to their own account pages instead of my list.
  • Privacy settings seem to revert to private without any warning. Its such a massive letdown. I am in the exact same boat right now trying to coordinate some family expenses and nobody can see the items. I have been looking into how to share Amazon carts instead because the gift list tool is just not as reliable as it should be for serious budget planning...
