Ive been shooting Canon for a decade but this R6 V grip situation is throwing me. I have a huge wedding this weekend and really need that vertical shutter for the ceremony.
Should I risk a third party like Neewer, or is the official Canon grip the only one that wont flake out on me?

Stick with the official Canon BG-R10 Battery Grip for EOS R5 R6 R6II for a wedding! I love the weather sealing and the button tactile response is just amazing compared to clones. It handles the high voltage draw for 12fps mechanical bursts way better than the Neewer BG-R10 Replacement Grip tbh. Seriously, the build quality is fantastic and it fits two Canon LP-E6NH 2130mAh Battery packs perfectly for all-day power!

If youre looking for cost-effective reliability, the Vello BG-C18 Battery Grip for Canon EOS R5 R6 R6 II is amazing! It feels fantastic and is very dependable for long ceremonies. Another solid alternative is the JJC BG-R10 Vertical Battery Grip for Canon EOS R5 R6 R6 II. The Vello has a better rubber texture, while the JJC is incredibly lightweight. Both are way better than cheap clones for a big wedding!
