Which wireless flash triggers work best with the Canon Rebel T7?

So I finally got my first real camera, the Canon Rebel T7, and I am so hyped to start taking portraits of my family! I bought this little flash thingy but I want to put it on a stand across the room instead of on top of the camera. I read somewhere that the T7 is kind of weird because it doesnt have a middle pin on the hot shoe or something?? I have no idea what that means and I am totally lost. I only have about 50 bucks left to spend before my sisters graduation next week and I dont want to buy the wrong thing. Which wireless triggers actually work with this specific camera? Sorry if this is a super basic question but Im just so confused...

Unfortunately that missing pin is such a bummer for your budget. To stay under fifty bucks, you basically need:Godox X1T-C Wireless Flash Trigger for Canon Just gotta update the firmware first.

Caught this post and man, that missing center pin on the T7 is such a headache. I remember when i first started out with a similar Canon body, I bought a cheap generic trigger set and spent two hours trying to figure out why nothing would fire. It was a total nightmare. I actually ended up returning three different sets before I realized Canon removed that little contact point just to make things difficult for us. You gotta be really careful because most of those cheap universal triggers you see online rely on that center pin to tell the flash when to pop. Honestly, if you have only got fifty bucks, i would suggest sticking with the big third-party brands. Go with Godox, you basically cant go wrong there because they have updated their systems specifically to handle these crippled hot shoes. Just make sure to double check that the one you pick specifically mentions the T7 or the 2000D. If it doesnt, it probably wont fire your flash at all and you will be stuck taking photos with no lights during the graduation.
