Honestly im so fed up with my current setup right now. Ive been using this older Yongnuo unit with my 5D Mark IV for a while but lately its just been a total nightmare to work with. It keeps overheating after like ten shots and then I have to wait forever for it to recycle while my clients are just standing there looking at me... its so embarrassing lol.

Im supposed to be shooting a big indoor wedding in downtown Chicago in about three weeks and I literally cannot have this thing fail on me again like it did last weekend at a graduation party. I missed like three key moments because the flash just decided not to fire even though the batteries were fresh. Im done with cheap knockoffs honestly i should have known better but i was trying to save some cash and now im paying for it in stress. My budget is around 500 bucks maybe a bit more if it really makes a difference but i need something that actually communicates properly with the 5D system and doesnt feel like a toy. Does everyone just go for the official Canon ones or are there third party brands that actually work reliably under pressure? Which external flash is best for Canon EOS 5D Mark IV?
