Honestly so over my current R5. The overheating is just getting ridiculous at this point and it completely locked up on me during a wedding shoot in Seattle last weekend and I almost missed the kiss. I cant deal with this stress anymore and really need to upgrade to the Mark II but the price is just staying so high everywhere I look even though its been out a while now. My budget is pretty capped at $3200 max right now which is why I’m holding out. Does anyone think we’re actually gonna see any real Canon EOS R5 Mark II Prime Day deals in 2026? Like is it even worth waiting until July or should I just bite the bullet...

Its unlikely the Canon EOS R5 Mark II 45MP Full-Frame Body hits $3200 by July. Prime Day rarely features deep discounts on flagship pro bodies. Usually just consumer stuff. My tip? Check the Canon Refurbished store or specialized retailers instead. If your current gear is failing during weddings, the lost income from a missed shot outweighs any small potential savings. Reliability comes first.

Man, I feel that. Had my R5 die during a beach ceremony in 90-degree heat once and it was pure panic. I actually looked into the Canon EOS R5 C 8K Cinema Mirrorless Camera because the fan makes it bulletproof, but eventually saved for the Canon EOS R5 Mark II 45MP Full-Frame Mirrorless Body. Honestly tho, Prime Day usually only discounts older glass or cards like the Lexar Professional 128GB CFexpress Type B Card. July deals wont hit your price point.
