ive been eyeing that tom ford lost cherry bottle for like ever but the price is just insane lol. i really want to grab it before my best friends wedding next month but i only have about 150 bucks set aside for it and sephora prices are so high.

ive been looking at using either the honey browser extension or maybe karma to track when it goes on sale but ive heard mixed things.

  • honey seems easier for coupons
  • karma is supposedly better for price drop pings

i just dont want to miss a flash sale and end up paying full price. which one do you guys think works best for sephora specifically?

I have been using Karma for a while now and honestly I am really satisfied with how it works for Sephora. Honey is okay for finding a random coupon code at checkout but it doesnt track price drops as reliably in my experience. If you want to catch a flash sale, Karma is basically the best bet because it sends a push notification to your phone right away. A few things that worked well for me:

  • Set up the alert specifically for the size you want because price drops often only hit certain SKUs.
  • Get the Sephora app too because they do app-only early access sales sometimes.
  • Keep an eye on the 30ml size... Lost Cherry is crazy expensive so 150 might only cover that one even with a good discount. No complaints with how Karma handles the tracking tho. It definitely helped me snag my last bottle.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I've spent way too much time over the years trying to game the Sephora pricing system. Honestly, Sephora is tricky because their sales are usually tied to those membership levels like Rouge or VIB, so generic coupon tools like Honey often miss the boat on those specific price drops. I've tried many different setups and what I've learned is that general browser extensions are kinda hit or miss depending on how often they crawl the site code. In my experience, you're better off looking at something that focuses purely on price history data rather than just checkout coupons.

  • Go with a dedicated price tracker brand if you really want that Tom Ford.
  • Browser extensions can sometimes slow down your page loads or miss flash sales because they dont refresh fast enough.
  • Just get any dedicated price monitoring tool and you'll be way more likely to catch it. I remember trying to snag a niche scent last year and I missed the drop by like ten minutes because my notification was delayed. It is super frustrating when that happens... technical details matter more than people think because some trackers only check once a day while others are much more frequent. You really want something that monitors the actual page content. I honestly just use PriceDropCatch for this, it pings me whenever the prices dip on my favorites.
