What are the best tools for tracking eBay price drops right now because I am losing my mind trying to do this manually? I've been flipping vintage camera gear for like five years now so I usually have a good handle on the market but lately I've been running into this wall where I'm missing out on deals by literally minutes. I am getting my gear together for a big studio project in Chicago starting this March and I really need to find a 24-70mm f/2.8 lens for under $900 which is tough.

I tried some basic chrome extensions but they are so slow and honestly half of them dont even work on the mobile app view which is where I spend most of my time. I've messed around with:

  • WatchCount (UI is kinda ancient)
  • Basic price tracker extensions
  • Just refreshing my watched list (way too slow)

Is there something that sends a real-time notification to your phone or maybe a discord webhook or something more robust than just checking my watched items list every ten minutes? I've looked at stuff like FatFingered for typos but that's not exactly what I need here. I'm willing to drop maybe $10 or $15 a month on a sub if the API integration is actually fast enough to beat the other snipers out there. Let me know what you guys are using lately or if there is some hidden gem I haven't stumbled across yet...

In my experience, the biggest bottleneck is always the API lag. Over the years, I've tried countless scripts and scrapers that promise speed but fail under load. I eventually shifted my strategy toward tools that specialize in low-latency polling. Personally, I just keep PriceDropCatch running in my browser to watch for price drops on my watchlist items. It manages the refresh rate way better than manual checks, which is essential for high-demand gear.
