Is there a way to get actual push notifications or SMS alerts for Sephora sales that actually work? Ive been a Rouge member for like five years so I know the drill with the seasonal events but lately the emails just get buried in my promotions tab or show up way too late. Like I missed the start of the last one and half the stuff I wanted was out of stock. Im trying to prep for the spring Savings Event because I need to restock my Tatcha water cream and some Dior lip oils before my sisters wedding in June. I have the app and notifications are on but it just pings me about random new arrivals. Is there a specific setting or maybe a third party tracker I should be using instead?
Re: "Honestly, the Sephora app is a total mess..." - totally agree! I literally cried when I missed a huge restock last year because my notifications failed. Quick question though, are you on iOS or Android? The setup makes a huge difference. I finally changed my approach:
Honestly, the Sephora app is a total mess when it comes to timely alerts. I have been Rouge since they basically invented the tier and the struggle with buried emails or late pings is very real. In my experience, the only way to actually get a head start before stuff like those Dior lip oils sell out is to sign up for their SMS alerts specifically. You need to go into your account settings on the desktop site--the app sometimes glitches when you try to toggle this--and make sure the Text Alerts box is checked under your communication preferences. tbh the app notifications usually prioritize marketing fluff or random restocks you dont actually want. Over the years, Ive found that the SMS messages usually hit my phone about 15 to 30 minutes before the sale officially goes live for Rouge members. Another trick I use is setting a manual calendar alert based on the leaks that always drop on social media about a week early. Those communities are way more reliable than Sephoras own marketing team. If youre waiting for the app to ping you, youve already lost. By the time that push notification finally goes out, the Tatcha sets are usually long gone. Stick to the SMS and maybe follow a few deal tracker accounts to stay ahead of the curve... it makes a huge difference when you have a deadline like a wedding.
