Honestly so fed up with Amazon right now like how is it 2024 and we still cant just share a cart? My boyfriend and I are moving into a new place in Chicago in three weeks and we are trying to coordinate all the kitchen stuff like blenders and sets of plates and honestly its a nightmare. I keep sending him links over text and then he sends me links back but then I forget which one we actually liked and half the time the link opens in the browser instead of the app and ugh. We have a $500 budget for the whole kitchen setup so I really need to see everything in one place to make sure we arent overspending.
I basically need:
I tried the whole wish list thing but its so clunky for just buying everyday stuff and you have to move items one by one to the cart anyway which is a total waste of time. Is there a Chrome extension or some kind of third party tool that actually works for this? Or maybe a hidden setting I am too blind to see right now? Its literally driving me crazy...
Honestly, it is ridiculous that Amazon still hasnt fixed this. When I was furnishing my first place on a tight budget last year, I went through the exact same headache. I tried using the native Amazon lists to coordinate, but unfortunately, it was a total disaster. The interface is just clunky and moving stuff to the actual cart feels like it takes forever. It made tracking our spending impossible since we couldnt see the final total easily. I finally gave up and started using Share-A-Cart because it lets you send the whole bundle at once. You just generate a code for your cart and send it over. He can then open it on his phone and it populates everything right into his app. It is way better than those endless text threads with broken links. Its not a hidden setting, Amazon just seems to hate making things easy for us.
Are you guys using the app or a browser more? Honestly just go with Share-A-Cart, you cant go wrong since it handles the session data transfer for syncing cart manifests.
I've moved house more times than I care to count and coordinating a $500 kitchen budget is always a mess without the right tools. In my experience, you're 100% right to be wary of sharing logins, especially with business info on there. Safety is key. I've tried many methods over the years and most native Amazon solutions are just buggy and clunky. Here is my advice for staying organized:
