Does anyone know a legit free tool for making a universal wishlist that actually works across any site? Ive been managing my own shopping lists for years with basic bookmarks and spreadsheets but I hit a snag now that Im trying to build a registry for my sisters wedding in Portland this summer. Google Sheets is just too clunky for this because it doesnt scrape images or prices automatically and the family is gonna get confused if they cant see the items. Ive tried a few Chrome extensions but they keep breaking on the smaller boutique sites she likes. Need something that handles metadata well and doesnt have a hidden subscription fee... maybe something with a clean UI?

Saw this earlier but just getting around to it. Honestly, finding a tool that handles metadata reliably across niche sites is a nightmare. I spent weeks trying to fix my own script because most tools just cant parse JSON-LD data correctly on custom boutique sites. Its super frustrating when the image wont load or the price stays static. I think I heard a colleague mention Share Product as a decent alternative that handles cross-site scraping better, tho I havent personally verified their API uptime lately. A few things usually break:
- Lazy-loaded images not getting captured
- OG tags missing on smaller boutique shops
- Session-locked pricing Not 100% sure if that one solves everything but its probably better than a raw spreadsheet. Quick question tho... are these Portland shops running on Shopify or are they like, super old-school custom HTML? That usually dictates whether the metadata scraper will even stand a chance.
