I've been trying to track this 65 inch TCL tv for my man cave renovation down here in Tampa and man, Walmart prices are just all over the place. One day it's 480 and the next it's 520 then back down. I'm trying to stay under a strict 500 dollar budget because the wife will kill me if I spend more on a secondary tv but I really want to know if I'm actually getting a deal or if they're just inflating it before a fake sale. I did some digging and found CamelCamelCamel but that's strictly for Amazon which doesn't help me here since the specific model I want is a Walmart exclusive. I also looked at Honey but it keeps bugging me to create an account and install their browser extension which I really don't want to do because I try to keep my browser light and I'm tired of every company having my data just to show me a simple graph.

I checked out a few options but they all have issues:

  • PriceBefore (it looks like it hasnt updated in like four months for some items)
  • Capital One Shopping (requires a full login and extension)
  • Keepa (only does Amazon as far as I can tell)

I saw someone on a different thread mention some other sites but they all seem to lead back to a sign-up page. Is there actually anything left that works like the old days? I just want to see if the current price is the lowest it's been in the last six months without having to manage another password or give away my email address again. I'm trying to pull the trigger on this before the Super Bowl party next month so I'm running out of time to watch the trends... I just need something where I can paste the link and see the price history right there on the page.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I have had some insane luck using BrickSeek for these types of hunts. I remember trying to snag a budget 4k monitor for my home office last year and the price swung like 150 bucks in a single week... it was wild! Most people think it is just for inventory, but their price history tool for Walmart is actually legit and doesnt force the whole account creation thing immediately. It shows the MSRP versus the local store price which is super helpful when youre dealing with those weird local markdowns. Just gotta grab the SKU or UPC from the Walmart page and plug it in. Honestly, I love how straightforward it is compared to those bloated extensions that just eat up your RAM and sell your data. Definitely worth a look if youre trying to stay stealthy and save some cash for the Super Bowl wings!

Re: "Check out PriceHistory.app! its absolutely amazing for tracking..."

  • Unfortunately, I've found that many web-based trackers are not as good as expected. Walmarts regional price syncing is honestly a mess. It's really frustrating when you're trying to stick to a strict budget.
  • I've been using PriceDropCatch lately because it avoids annoying registration barriers.
  • Always verify if the seller is Walmart directly or a third-party merchant to avoid inflated numbers.
