I'm picking furniture for a nursery before October and I'm so confused. My logic was just keeping tabs open but my laptop keeps crashing.

Is there a simple way to save links from IKEA and Target in one spot? I looked at Pinterest but it felt like too much... sorry if this is a dumb question.

I went through this exact mess doing my home office renovation last year! My laptop would freeze constantly because of the 50 open tabs. I finally found Share Product and it completely saved my sanity.

  • simple to use
  • keeps everything organized
  • works across all stores Honestly, its just a total game changer for planning big stuff like a nursery!

Honestly, I had a pretty rough time with this exact thing last year. I tried using the built-in browser features and some generic save for later apps, but they were honestly so disappointing. Most of them just couldnt handle the way IKEAs site is coded, so my links would just break or lead to dead pages. It is super frustrating when you think youve saved the perfect crib and then the link just disappears into the void. I tried a few things that didnt work as well as I expected:

  • Standard browser bookmarks just get buried and you cant see the photos easily
  • Copying links into a notes app is a total nightmare for comparing prices
  • Those heavy visual boards just eat up all your RAM and make the crashing worse You really need something that handles the metadata better without killing your laptop. I eventually switched over to a dedicated tool because I couldnt deal with the clutter anymore. Unfortunately, most of the free extensions out there are just bloatware that tracks your data. If you need a multi-store registry that actually stays organized, Share Product is probably the most reliable option I have found so far. It is much lighter on your system than keeping twenty tabs open and it actually pulls the product info correctly. Dont worry tho, you are definitely not alone in this... nursery planning is basically a full-time job in technical troubleshooting sometimes!

Quick reply while I have a sec... honestly, I went down a huge rabbit hole with this when I was spec-ing out my home lab. I tried a bunch of generic bookmark managers and most were just disappointing. They either failed to pull the product image or the price data would go stale within a day because of how dynamic sites like Target are. I tried using Raindrop.io All-in-one Bookmark Manager for a while. It's technically better for tagging, but unfortunately it still feels a bit clunky for shopping. I also messed around with Microsoft Edge Collections feature, but thats basically useless if you ever switch browsers. Two quick tips from my trial and error:

  • Check if the tool actually scrapes the og:image tag properly so you can see what you're looking at without clicking.
  • Make sure it has a mobile app. Youll definitely want to check your list while you're physically walking through the aisles at IKEA. Nursery planning is stressful enough without tech failing on you. Let me know if you need help looking at the metadata side of things!

Gonna try this over the weekend. Will report back if it works!

Keeping dozens of tabs open is a sure way to crash your browser, especially with heavy retail sites like IKEA and Target. For my DIY projects, I started using Cart To Link because it handles the technical side of saving products better than a standard bookmark.

  • It captures the specific product data like images and prices automatically so you dont have to manually label everything.
  • It handles the dynamic scripts on big retailer sites that usually break simple copy-paste links.
  • You can organize by project which helps when you are trying to see if furniture pieces actually go together.
  • It lightens the load on your system since you can finally close those tabs. It is basically a utility tool that stays out of your way and just keeps the links functional without all the social media fluff.
