So my birthday is coming up in about three weeks and I'm trying to put together a list for my family because they keep asking what I want. I have a very specific aesthetic, lots of mid-century modern and weird vintage stuff, and a lot of the things I actually want are from local thrift shops around town or small creators who dont have great websites.
I tried using Elfster and it was okay for like basic stuff but when I tried to add a custom item the image just wouldnt show up right or it forced me to use a generic icon. I also looked at Giftster because someone told me it was good but the interface feels so old and I couldnt figure out how to just upload a photo from my camera roll without it being a whole ordeal.
I really just want a simple site where I can title an item, maybe add a link, but most importantly upload my own photo so people know exactly what I'm talking about. Like if I see a cool lamp at a shop downtown I want to take a picture and put it on the list for my siblings to see. Since I'm saving up for a move my budget for this is basically zero so it has to be a free tool. Does anyone know of a wishlist generator that lets you actually upload your own images for free?
I went through this exact struggle trying to catalog my vintage gear. Most sites are unfortunately terrible at handling photo uploads and fail to display custom images correctly because of weird compression.
