I finally pulled the trigger on the R5 Mark II and I am so hyped to use it but honestly im already hitting a wall with my glass. Im trying to use my old EF lenses with the adapter and its just a total mess, the autofocus is hunting like crazy and the balance feels totally off and it just makes me want to scream because I spent all this money on a flagship body and it feels like im driving a ferrari with bicycle tires. I really need to move to native RF but there are so many options it makes my head spin.

My logic was that the RF 24-70mm f2.8 is the obvious choice for a workhorse but then I saw the 24-105mm f4 and its way cheaper and lighter for hiking, but then I worry about the low light performance since I do a lot of blue hour shots. I have a budget of around $2500 and I have a huge trip to the Dolomites coming up in October so I need to decide fast. Should I just go for the 24-70 or is there something better that covers more range without losing that crispness? Or maybe that 28-70 f2? No that thing is way too expensive and heavy...

I just want one lens that can handle the 45 megapixels without making the camera feel like a brick. What are you guys actually using on this thing for a daily driver?
