i just got a used canon 5d mark iv and im honestly so lost with all the accessories. i heard a battery grip is good for long days because i have a friends wedding coming up in three weeks and im terrified of the camera dying mid-ceremony. but like do i have to buy the official canon one? its so expensive like $300 or something crazy. i only have about $80-$100 left in my budget for this.
sorry if this is a super basic question i just dont want to buy the wrong thing and waste my money... are the cheap ones on amazon any good?
Re: "I've had issues with the cheap Amazon clones..." - i get the worry, but im pretty satisfied with the Pixel E20 Vertical Battery Grip for Canon 5D Mark IV. It handles the power draw well and fits the body without any annoying wiggle.
I've had issues with the cheap Amazon clones before, they're not as good as expected and feel loose. Unfortunately, the official Canon BG-E20 Battery Grip for EOS 5D Mark IV is way too expensive for what you get. Get the Vello BG-C14 Battery Grip for Canon 5D Mark IV instead. It's solid and holds two batteries perfectly, unlike the Neewer NW-5D Mark IV Battery Grip which feels kinda flimsy. You'll do great at the wedding!
Honestly, ive used Meike MK-DR5IV Battery Grip for Canon 5D Mark IV for years. Its super reliable and fits your budget perfectly without feeling like cheap junk imo.
