I am so excited because I finally booked my dream trip to the Swiss Alps for next month but honestly im already getting so frustrated with my Canon Rebel T7 kit. Like dont get me wrong I love the photos but carrying this thing around is a total nightmare and the neck strap that came in the box is literally rubbing my skin raw after like twenty minutes of walking around. I tried taking it on a hike last weekend and I was just miserable the whole time because the bag I have is way too bulky and I can never find my extra batteries when I need them they just get lost in the bottom of the main compartment.

Its just so annoying that I have this great camera but I feel like I dont have the right stuff to actually travel with it without it being a huge hassle every single time I want to take a photo. I have about 300 bucks left in my travel budget to spend on gear and I really need to make this setup more efficient before I leave for Zurich or I know im just gonna end up leaving the camera in the hotel and using my phone which would be a waste. I was looking at those clip things that go on your backpack strap but I dont know if they are actually secure or if my camera is gonna fall off and smash on a rock somewhere which is a terrifying thought. Plus the battery life on the T7 is kinda mid when Im shooting all day so I definitely need something for that but the official Canon chargers are so huge to pack and I hate carrying extra cables.

I really want to capture all the mountain views without feeling like a pack mule or worrying that I forgot something important. My current bag is just this giant generic backpack and it has zero padding so everything just jiggles around and it makes me so nervous. Does anyone have a list of actual essentials they use for this specific camera when they are on the move? What are some must-have travel accessories for the Canon EOS Rebel T7 that wont break the bank but will make my life way less stressful...
