Ive been shooting with my 90D for years but mostly did portraits. Finally heading to Zion next month for some real landscape work and Im hitting a wall. Highlights keep blowing out and water reflections are killing my contrast. I know I need glass but the options are overwhelming for a crop sensor setup.

  • Budget around $250-$300
  • Must fit my 18-135mm and 10-18mm wide angle
  • Need a solid CPL and a 6-stop ND for waterfalls
  • Circular filters only, no bulky square systems

Is it better to buy one large set with step-up rings or get individual ones to avoid vignetting on the wide lens?

Unfortunately, I had issues with vignetting when I bought 67mm filters for that wide lens. Get 77mm glass and step-up rings instead.

> Is it better to buy one large set with step-up rings To add to the point above: I had issues with individual filters being a total letdown. Don't bother. Get 77mm B+W 77mm Circular Polarizer MRC and Tiffen 77mm ND 1.8 Filter instead.
