Need a flash for a wedding next Saturday so kinda urgent. I was thinking Godox V1 but heard it overheats, then saw the Canon 430EX III-RT but its way more expensive for my $200 budget. My logic was go cheap but will it fail me mid-shoot? What actually works best for the 90D without breaking the bank?

In my experience, pairing it with Panasonic Eneloop Pro AA Rechargeable Batteries ensures more than enough power for a full day. While Li-ion is faster, AA units are technically more versatile if you run out of juice mid-ceremony and need a quick swap.

The V1 overheating is mostly an issue if youre firing full-power bursts repeatedly. A decent option for your budget is the Godox V860III-C TTL Li-ion Flash for Canon. The lithium battery provides faster recycle times and better endurance than the AA-powered Godox TT685II-C TTL Flash for Canon. Both models provide the TTL and HSS features that work best for the 90D without breaking the bank.
