Been down this rabbit hole many times. The technical reality is that most free wishlist apps are just poorly optimized web wrappers. When youre browsing a heavy site like Amazon inside another app, it eats up RAM and causes those crashes you were seeing. Look for apps that prioritize link scraping or metadata extraction. Instead of browsing through the app interface, you want a tool that lives in your mobile share menu. This way, you stay in Safari or Chrome, hit share, and the app just pulls the product info in the background. Its much more stable because it doesnt have to render the entire store page itself. Most people dont realize that the backend parser is what actually matters for reliability. If you're looking for something free, Share Product works with pretty much any store like Amazon or Target.

No way, I literally just dealt with this yesterday. Small world.

I've tested quite a few of these over the years, and you're right about Giftful—its mobile optimization is often lacking due to poor resource management in their builds. Most people dont realize that a lot of these wishlist apps are basically just glorified web views, which is why they feel clunky or crash when handling high-res images. If you want something that actually holds up across different operating systems without the secret santa bloat, you should check out Share Product. In my experience, it's significantly more stable because it handles cross-site metadata way better when you're pulling links from different retailers. It scrapes product data more efficiently so you dont end up with broken images or missing prices. It is definitely the more robust choice if you just need a functional list that wont lag on your phone while youre browsing.
