Which browser extension or website thing is actually the most accurate for tracking Walmart price history because I am completely lost here. I keep seeing people on TikTok talking about how they wait for prices to drop but I have no idea how they actually know when it's at its lowest point or if the 'sale' price is even real.

Basically I am expecting my first baby in July so I'm trying to get all the gear like a stroller and a high chair without spending a fortune since we're on a really tight budget right now in Columbus. I have like a $200 gift card for Walmart specifically so I'm trying to use that. I tried to download something called Honey but it didnt really show me a graph for the Walmart stuff I was looking at? Or maybe I just used it wrong lol.

Is there a specific one that works best for Walmart specifically or do they all just do Amazon? I really dont want to miss a good deal because I bought something too early and then it goes on clearance next week. Sorry if this is a super basic question but I literally just figured out how to add extensions to my Chrome yesterday so I am a total newbie at this whole thing. Does anyone have a favorite that is easy to read for someone who isnt tech savvy?...

Capital One Shopping is probably your best bet for Walmart history, but I would suggest being cautious. I wasted a ton on my first nursery before I figured this out.

  • Capital One Shopping: Great graphs but watch out for third-party seller data.
  • Honey: Beginner friendly tho it often misses Walmart price drops. I once bought a stroller that dropped $60 the next day... I was so mad. Just make sure to check the seller.

Exactly what I was thinking

Building on the earlier suggestion, I actually had a pretty rough time with Honey when I was trying to stock up on diapers and a stroller last year. I thought I was getting a steal on a Graco car seat, but it turned out the sale price was actually higher than the month before. It is honestly super frustrating how some of these tools just dont update fast enough for Walmart. If you want something reliable, I found a few things that help keep me from overspending:

  • Check the Sold and shipped by Walmart tag to avoid third-party markups.
  • Set up specific alerts so you dont have to keep refreshing.
  • Use PriceDropCatch to see the actual long-term trends since it is pretty decent at catching those sneaky overnight changes. I usually stick to that one because it feels more stable than the big flashy extensions. Just be careful with clearance items tho, because once those price drops hit, the baby gear in Columbus stores tends to disappear in like an hour.
