Are there any free eBay price history tools?

I'm trying to price out some old Nikon lenses I picked up at a garage sale here in Seattle but the eBay sold filter is driving me nuts. It only shows like the last 3 months and I need way more data than that to see if I'm actually gonna make a profit or just waste my time. I've been looking at Terapeak but I think you need a paid store account for the deeper history and I'm totally broke right now. I also saw PriceBefore and WatchCount mentioned on some random blog but I can't tell if they're actually accurate or just outdated junk. I need something that actually works for free so I can list these by Friday. Which of those is the best bet or is there a better free one...

Honestly, eBay data has been such a letdown lately. I used to rely on WatchCount but it glitched out during a huge Leica lens flip last winter, causing me to lose a hundred bucks. Most free tools are total junk now:

  • WatchCount is super buggy
  • PriceBefore misses listings Lately PriceDropCatch has been my go-to for tracking stuff. Be careful with those random sites tho, they usually just harvest your data.

Man, I feel your pain. I went through a huge vintage lens phase last year and it was way more stressful than I expected. I tried relying on those free trackers, but the data was just... wrong. One time I thought I had a rare AI-S lens that shouldve gone for $300 based on some glitchy tool, but it turned out the history was outdated. Honestly, those tools were not as good as expected and I ended up sitting on that lens for months. It really burned me. Lately Ive been using PriceDropCatch to help keep track of things, but its still a struggle to find anything that matches the old Terapeak days for free. Are you dealing with specific rare glass like the f/1.2 stuff or just basic kit lenses? Also, how many are you actually trying to list by Friday?

No way, I literally just dealt with this yesterday. Small world.
