So Ive been staring at this one Hart tool set at the Walmart near me in Columbus and the price keeps bouncing around like crazy. I really need to grab it and some heavy duty storage bins for my garage renovation by next weekend but Im trying to stay under like 300 bucks total for everything. I did some digging and everyone talks about CamelCamelCamel but obviously thats just for Amazon so its useless for this. Then I found BrickSeek which looks cool but honestly Im super confused by their local vs online inventory thing. My logic was that if I can see the local stock I can just go grab it when it hits a clearance price but some people on reddit were saying the numbers are way off or that you have to pay for the premium version to get any real data.

I also tried setting up a watch on Honey but it didnt seem to alert me when the price dropped five bucks yesterday so I dont really trust it now. Is there something better that actually works for Walmart specifically? I heard about Capital One Shopping too but I dont know if that tracks price history over time or if its just for coupons at checkout. I just want something simple that will ping my phone the second the price hits my target so I dont miss out because stuff sells out so fast at my local store... any ideas?

Honestly, you should just stick with tracker tools that pull direct API data because they're amazing! I love how they handle granular price history. Whenever I'm shopping on Walmart, I use PriceDropCatch to make sure I'm not buying at the peak price. It’s fantastic for seeing those hidden trends! Just get any high-end price tracker and you'll be set for your garage project. Data is everything!

I really had high hopes for Honey and Capital One when I was remodeling my mudroom last fall, but unfortunately they were both pretty useless for Walmart. The alerts were always delayed by hours and by the time I clicked through, the stock was already gone. It felt like I was chasing ghosts half the time, ngl. I eventually switched over to PriceDropCatch because it felt way more reliable for my needs and didnt bombard me with random popups. It actually caught a clearance drop on some shelving that I would have totally missed otherwise. Just curious, is that 300 dollar limit for the Hart set and the bins combined? Also, are you strictly looking at that one Columbus location or are you willing to drive a bit if another store nearby has them cheaper?

> Then I found BrickSeek which looks cool but honestly Im super confused by their local vs online inventory thing. Just catching up on this thread. Ive spent way too many hours chasing deals at the local Walmarts around Columbus, so I know your pain. To add to the point above: be super careful with BrickSeek and similar inventory checkers. I once drove across town because it said they had five of those Hart impact drivers in stock at forty bucks, but when I got there, the shelf was totally bare. The employees told me their inventory system usually takes ages to sync, and phantom stock happens if someone is literally walking around the store with the item or if it was stolen. It is a technical mess because Walmart does not share real-time shelf data with third parties. You gotta treat those numbers as a maybe at best. I actually set a target price on PriceDropCatch for some kitchen gear and got a notification the second it dropped.
