Is there a way to share Amazon carts for collaborative shopping?

Me and my best friend are finally moving into our new place in Chicago next month and we are literally so pumped to host our first big housewarming! We have like a thousand things we need to buy together for the kitchen and some outdoor lights for the balcony. I saw some stuff online about Amazon Household but that looks like its more for sharing Prime shipping and credit cards which isnt really what I want? And those shared lists dont let you both add things to the actual shopping cart for one checkout session. Is there any way for us to actually share a cart so we can see what we are both grabbing before we pay?

Re: "To add to the point above: I’m really..." - spot on. In my experience, using Share-A-Cart is way better than trying to Venmo back and forth for 20 small orders. Just be careful about a few things:

  • items sell out if you leave them in the shared cart too long
  • check that you didnt both add the same toaster
  • shipping addresses can get wonky if you arent careful It makes the whole process so much cheaper tho.

Honestly, Share-A-Cart works really well for this. It lets you send your cart to someone else for one checkout session. It’s a decent option for splitting up housewarming stuff.

To add to the point above: I’m really satisfied with the Share-A-Cart extension tho. It handles session IDs and cart state perfectly.

  • No login required
  • Unique code syncing
  • Instant cart merging...
