How do you all keep track of family gift lists without accidentally seeing your own surprises? I checked out Giftster but I read it can be glitchy with notifications and my parents in Florida are so bad with tech they would definitely click the wrong thing. With 12 of us and a $100 budget it's getting really messy to manage.

Honestly, I have to respectfully disagree with the app-heavy approach here! While those platforms try hard, they usually fall short on data privacy and simple UI, which is a nightmare for non-techy parents. If you want 100% reliability for 12 people on a budget, you need something with a rock-solid backend. I honestly find that using a cloud-based suite is the most efficient way to handle this. Just go with any of the major platforms from Google or Microsoft and you basically get infinite customization without the lag! It is absolutely amazing how much better it works when you control the permissions yourself. For something even faster, I love it when people just use link generators. It is fantastic because there is zero learning curve. I found that ShareProduct is super helpful for this exact thing because you just make a list and send a link. No accounts for the parents to mess up! It is literally the most robust way to keep everyone under that $100 limit without any accidental spoilers. Plus, the data sync is instantaneous, which is crucial when multiple people are shopping at once. Trust me, skipping the heavy apps and sticking to high-performance web links is a total game changer for family logistics! It is just so much more direct and honestly, way more fun to use when it actually works every time.

^ This. Also, unfortunately Elfster was not as good as expected for our group either. We had issues with the mobile app lagging and it keeps pushing ads for stuff way over a $100 limit. It is super frustrating. Honestly, check out Listery instead. It is way more budget-friendly and simple enough that my tech-challenged folks didnt accidentally spoil anything. Way more reliable imo.

Honestly, Giftster wasnt as good as expected for our family. My uncle accidentally saw his whole list because the UI is kinda clunky... it was a total letdown. Unfortunately, its just not reliable enough for parents who struggle with tech.
- Use Elfster instead.
- Set a strict $100 limit.
- Try the anonymous Q&A. It's way better at keeping secrets hidden.
