Just pre-ordered the R5 Mark II and now im staring at my empty bank account trying to figure out what else I actually need before this wedding season kicks off in October. My logic was that I could probably just reuse all my old R5 stuff but then I started reading about these new LP-E6P batteries and now im just confused. Like I read online that the old ones work but you lose some of the high-end video features and the pre-continuous shooting stuff so now I feel like I have to buy like four of the new ones? But they are like 80 bucks each which is insane lol.

Also been looking at memory cards since I usually shoot to both slots for safety. People are saying I need VPG400 certified CFexpress Type B cards for the 8K raw but I mostly shoot 4K or high res stills so do I really need to drop $400 on a single card? I saw some ProGrade ones that looked okay but then someone on a thread said they overheat in the new body so I'm stuck. My budget is around 800-900 for accessories and I still need a spare charger since the box doesnt come with one? Or does it? Its all so much more expensive than I thought it would be when I clicked buy on the body... anyway if anyone has a list of what's actually essential versus what Canon is just trying to upsell me on that would be great.

> now im just confused. Like I read online that the old ones work I would suggest getting the Canon LP-E6P 2130mAh Lithium-Ion Battery just for safety on wedding shoots, otherwise you might run into some weird issues and we dont want that...
