R8 Black Friday deals, anyone seen anything good? Hoping to snag one with a lens. Budget around $2000.

Agree with Annette, Amazon is usually the way to go for the big holiday rushes. I have been looking into the specs and I think the R8 is actually a sleeper for reliability despite the lightweight build. IIRC, it uses an electronic first curtain which basically eliminates one point of mechanical failure compared to traditional shutters. Not 100% sure on the exact weather sealing rating, but someone told me it is actually improved over the previous entry models. One thing to keep an eye on tho is the thermal performance... I heard it can throttle during long 4k60 sessions if it is sitting in direct sun. If you can find a bundle within that $2000 budget, it is a hell of a lot of tech for the money. Just make sure to check the warranty terms if you are buying from a third party seller on there.
