Hey camera enthusiasts! I'm looking to start a vlogging channel and have my heart set on Canon. Budget is around $800-1000, and I need good autofocus, decent low-light performance, and flip screen for self-recording.
Currently considering the M50 Mark II and the EOS R10, but open to other suggestions. Battery life and portability are important as I'll be shooting outdoors often.
What's your recommendation for a beginner-friendly Canon vlogging setup?
Totally agree with the R50 suggestion! Its definitely the way to go over the older M50 stuff. If youre worried about the battery life issues PhantomGamer mentioned, honestly just use a DIY power setup. I've been doing this for years and it saves so much money on spare batteries. Heres how they stack up:
> The new released Canon EOS R50 is the best choice. Like someone mentioned, the R50 is the main contender here, and I agree with Apelly that it's the right direction for a beginner. Unfortunately, I’ve had some issues with the build quality on these newer entry-level bodies... they feel a bit like toys. I took one out for a trail vlog recently and the battery life was not as good as expected, so honestly, just be prepared to carry spares if you're shooting outdoors all day.
Great info, saved!
