Ive been collecting for about five years now so Im usually pretty savvy with the gray market sites like Jomashop and Ashford but honestly tracking prices for the Tissot Gentleman has been a total headache lately. My logic was that since its such a popular piece with that Powermatic 80 Silicium movement it would be easy to find a price tracker that actually works but every time I get an alert from a generic site its either out of stock or the price changed two hours ago.

Im really trying to snag the blue dial version on the steel bracelet for my brothers wedding in mid-July so Ive got about two months to play with. Im strictly looking to stay under $650 which I know is totally doable but I keep missing the $575 drops by like ten minutes because Im not seeing them in time. I tried setting up some Google Alerts and used a few Chrome extensions but they keep flagging weird scammy sites that I wouldnt trust with my credit card info.

So I was thinking maybe theres a more enthusiast-focused tool Im missing? I know the basics of watch buying obviously but this specific model seems to fluctuate so fast on the legit sites. Does anyone know a specific platform or maybe a discord bot that actually tracks the reputable dealers like Teddy Baldassarre or even just the big gray market players reliably? Im tired of manually refreshing five different tabs every morning while Im drinking my coffee...

To add to the point above: I would suggest looking at WatchCharts for better tracking. I used it for a Hamilton last year and it saved me from a sale that was actually overpriced. Be careful with those 575 dollar listings tho, sometimes they are returns. If you go grey market, just remember you wont get the factory warranty on that movement, so make sure the shop has a solid reputation first.

OMG that Tissot is an absolute beast! My blue dial version arrived about six months ago and honestly its been my daily driver ever since. Getting it under 600 bucks was the goal because overpaying is just not an option for me. My first attempt was a total disaster tho... I followed some random link from a forum and the site looked so legit until I noticed the URL was slightly off. Close call! Lessons were learned and now I only use tools that actually vet the sources. My current setup involves PriceDropCatch and it finally pinged me for a legit 580 dollar deal at 3 AM. I literally jumped out of bed to buy it! Its totally worth the wait to find a clean, brand new piece at that price point. Stick to your budget because those drops definitely happen if youre fast enough!

Unfortunately, generic price alerts are usually trash and often link to shady sellers. Ive had major issues with those Chrome extensions flagging fake deals that end up being phishing sites.

  • Avoid unverified discord bots
  • Skip generic google alerts for high-demand pieces I mostly rely on this Jomashop price tracker since its tied to actual inventory. Other tools just arent as good as expected and honestly waste time.
