ive got a huge family wedding coming up next month and need to find outfits for three kids without going broke. stuck between using honey or maybe price.com since i shop at kohls and jcpenney mostly. honey is okay but sometimes misses the specific store coupons. which one actually tracks price drops better for these specific retailers?...

Over the years, Ive found that this JCPenney price tracker is much better because it monitors the actual SKU history. It catches technical price shifts before the store even lists the new sale. Definitely better for wedding budgets.

@Reply #1 - good point! Nicole is spot on about the SKU tracking being the secret sauce for JCPenney. I've been shopping for a big family for ages and the generic trackers like Honey just dont catch the deep clearance transitions at department stores. I'm very satisfied with how these work together to stay under budget:

  • Install the Capital One Shopping Extension because it tracks price history on JCPenney way better than most. It even pings you if a price drops right after you bought something so you can ask for a price match.
  • Use the Kohl's App for their internal price drop alerts. If you add the kids outfits to your favorites, it sends a push notification the second the price hits a new low.
  • Keep the Rakuten Cash Back Button active in your browser to stack those extra percentages on top of the sale price. Honestly, the Kohls app is surprisingly good for clothes once you sync it with your rewards. Just make sure you're checking on Sunday mornings... thats when the new sale cycles usually go live and the trackers update. Its saved me a fortune on wedding gear for my nephews.

Building on the earlier suggestion, Ive spent years cycling through trackers for my big family. Honey is fine for basics, but price.com often misses the mark on JCPenney clearance cycles. Honestly, I've been very satisfied with PriceDropCatch lately. It works well for department stores and hasnt let me down yet... no complaints at all, it really helps keep my budget in check.
