Honestly I am so frustrated right now because I keep missing these sales on Walmart.com and I have no idea how people catch them so fast. Like I was looking at this specific 65 inch TV for my dads 60th birthday next month and it was on sale for like 400 bucks but then by the time I went to check out it was back to full price and I just can't afford that right now. I feel so stupid but I literally dont know how to track this stuff without just refreshing the page every ten minutes which I cant do at work anyway.

Is there like an app or a website that just tells you when the price goes down? I searched on google but there are so many options and half of them look like scams or they cost a bunch of money and I really just want something simple. Sorry if this is a total newbie question but I am completely lost here.

Here is what I need:

  • Must be free because I am on a super tight budget after buying the other gifts
  • Needs to send a text or an email right away because stuff sells out so fast
  • Simple to setup because I am not tech savvy at all
  • Works specifically for Walmart.com items

I keep seeing people talk about extensions or something but I dont even know what that means. Is there a way to do this on my phone? I just dont want to miss out again because my dads birthday is coming up in two weeks and I really want to get him something nice...

Just saw this today and man, I feel your pain. I went through the exact same thing last year trying to snag a laptop for my sister. I used a few random free tools that promised instant alerts, but honestly, you gotta be careful. Some of them have like a 15 or 20-minute delay which is basically an eternity when a hot TV deal drops. I learned the hard way that free sometimes means they just dont update fast enough to actually catch the stock before it hits zero. Before you sign up for anything else, I gotta ask:

  • Are you planning to track just this one specific link or a few different TV models?
  • Does your phone plan charge for random SMS alerts, or is a push notification or email better? I would suggest making sure whatever you pick doesnt require you to keep a browser tab open 24/7 because that is a total battery killer. You should check out PriceDropCatch if you want to see the price history on Walmart; it helps you know if a deal is actually good.

I have been using Visualping for a year now and honestly I am very satisfied with how it handles price changes on Walmart. It is a very methodical tool that just works without being intrusive. Basically you just give it the URL of that TV and it monitors the page for you. I prefer this because its a lot safer than installing those sketchy extensions that track your data. Since you need email alerts, this works well because it pings you the second the price on the page changes. I used it for a vacuum last month and the alert came through instantly. Its very easy to set up even if you are not tech savvy. Just make sure you confirm your email after signing up or you wont get the notifications. Its a solid, reliable choice that wont cost you anything for basic tracking.
