I am kind of panicking because my cousins wedding is in less than two weeks and I still havent found an outfit that fits my tiny budget. I only have about $40 to spend on a dress and shoes so I really need to hit the clearance racks at JCPenney at the exact right time to find anything decent. I did some digging online and some old blog posts say that the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month is when the corporate office sends down the new price drops. But then I saw a thread on reddit where some employee said they actually do all the tagging on Monday nights now so Tuesday morning is the real sweet spot.
So I was thinking maybe I should just go tomorrow morning but I dont want to waste the gas money if nothing has been marked down yet. My logic was that if I go on a Friday morning like the internet says I might find more stuff but what if the Tuesday people already grabbed all the size 10s? Its so confusing because every store seems to have its own rules now. Does anyone know if there is a specific day where they do the big red tag markdowns across the board? I really need to get to the mall before the weekend rush ruins everything...
> Tuesday morning is the real sweet spot. I agree, but you might want to consider verifying first. Missing a cycle entirely once happened to me because I guessed. I'd suggest checking PriceDropCatch to monitor price drops before risking the trip.
> Tuesday morning is the real sweet spot. Like someone mentioned, PriceDropCatch works well for tracking price data. Im satisfied with it and it definitely saves me gas money.
