October wedding is coming fast and im totally stuck. I saw Zola but it feels too corporate and MyRegistry seems glitchy. My logic was to use something that lets me add from any site, but I need it to handle weird Etsy shops and local Austin boutiques. What actually works for unique items without being a total nightmare?

Blueprint worked well for my boutique needs since it allows you to add items from any URL seamlessly. Im very satisfied with how it handled Etsy shops specifically. WithJoy is another solid option that feels more polished than Zola. Basically, Blueprint is the most reliable way to manage local items because the browser extension doesnt glitch out. No complaints about the setup.

Whats the budget for these boutique pieces? Some registries take fees from cash gifts which kills your savings.

  • SoKind (free)
  • Thankful (flat fee) Are you looking for zero-fee options specifically tho...?

Regarding what #3 said about "To add to the point above: blueprint glitches..."

  • I actually ran into a massive mess with my own setup a while back. I was trying to pull items from a small ceramic studio in South Austin and the registry scraper kept failing because the shop used a really heavy AJAX theme. It was a nightmare tbh... I ended up with a bunch of broken links and had to manually fix the price fields every other day. You definitely want to be careful with any platform that relies on a generic browser extension for boutique sites. If the shop uses a custom Shopify build or something non-standard, it might not sync the data correctly at all. Are you planning to check the links every week to make sure the inventory is still live, or do you need something more hands-off? Also, do these local places have actual e-commerce carts, or are they more the type where someone might have to call in? Btw, I found ShareProduct last week and it’s super helpful for sending gift ideas to the grandparents.

To add to the point above: blueprint glitches too much for local sites imo. this universal registry tool is cleaner.

  • Hitchd: pricey but sleek
  • Zola: free but corporate Both handle Etsy items better.
