What is the best site for a universal wedding registry that actually stays synced across different platforms? I have helped like five bridesmaids set these up in the past so I thought I was an expert but now that I am planning my own October wedding in Seattle everything is acting up. I tried using the MyRegistry browser extension but it keeps crashing whenever I try to add items from these small local pottery shops I love. Plus the fees for honeymoon funds on some sites are honestly insane. I need something that wont break the links if a store updates its site layout. Is Zola still the go to or is there something better for handling random external links?

I've been doing this for years and honestly, it's just gotten worse. Most sites are not as good as expected for small boutiques. Ngl, it is super disappointing. I think the sync tech is just broken everywhere. I've been using Share Product for my own lists lately because it actually handles external links without crashing every five minutes.

Jumping in here tho... those browser extensions are basically just glorified web scrapers and they break the second a shop changes their CSS classes or site structure. It is super annoying. When I was setting up my own stuff, I noticed Zolas external link tool is kinda flaky with smaller boutiques because they dont have standardized metadata. Honestly, Share Product is a lifesaver when you want stuff from like five different websites on one list without it constantly crashing. It seems to handle the redirects better.

  • Joy is usually better for the zero-fee honeymoon fund thing.
  • Blueprint has a decent add to registry button that feels more stable than MyRegistry.
  • Manual entries are your best friend for local Seattle shops just to be safe. Basically, if the scraper fails, just do a manual link and upload a custom photo. It takes an extra minute but it wont break later on.

Honestly, be careful with those browser extensions because theyre super glitchy. I saw a friend lose her whole list after a shop updated its website and nothing would sync anymore. You might want to consider just sticking with Zola for safety. Just get any registry from Zola and it should be fine. It feels way more reliable than trying to hack it yourself. I actually used Share Product for my baby shower and it was way less of a headache than the store-specific ones.
