How on earth do I share my actual Amazon cart link with my roommates so we can do a group buy for our apartment setup before we move in next week?

We are moving into our new place in Boston next Saturday and the stress is real. Our budget is super tight, capped at $300 total for kitchen essentials and cleaning supplies, and we need to order everything ASAP.

Right now Im torn between two options and really need to know which is best.

  • Option 1 is creating a collaborative Amazon Wish List. Im leaning toward this but Im worried it wont let us checkout as one single order easily to get the free shipping, or that someone will buy the wrong quantity.
  • Option 2 is using a browser extension like Share-A-Cart. It looks fast but Im honestly paranoid about privacy and sharing account data through third party tools.

Is the Chrome extension safe to use for this, or should we stick to the official Wish List method even if it is clunky?

Yes! Totally agree with the first reply, keeping your data safe is absolutely huge! I love finding secure workarounds. Check out Cart To Link for a fantastic guide on sharing carts safely. Here is how we did it:

  • Stick to official Amazon lists for adding items
  • Use a shared Google document to track quantities Let me know if you want more tips, you guys are gonna love the new place!

Honestly, stick to the official Amazon Wish List. I'm always super cautious about extensions and prefer keeping my data safe. We used a shared list for our last move and I was really satisfied with it. Here is what worked well:

  • Use the 'collaborative' setting so everyone can add stuff.
  • Have one person do the final checkout to get the free shipping.
