How do I send my entire Amazon shopping cart to my sister so she can buy the items for me?

I am so lost right now and sorry if this is a really stupid question but I need to figure this out tonight. My sister is buying my college textbooks and dorm stuff as a gift (my budget is basically zero right now) and she told me to just send her my cart. But I cannot find a share button anywhere on the Amazon app or website. I have like 15 different books and a mattress topper in there and it took me hours to find the right cheap editions. I really do not want to copy and paste 15 links manually and email them to her because she needs to order them by tomorrow morning to get them here before classes start next week.

I tried looking in the settings but all I see is stuff about wishlists. Is a wishlist the same thing? If I make a wishlist do I have to search for all these books all over again or can I move them from the cart? I have no idea how this works...

I remember doing this exact thing when prepping for my freshman year. I spent hours hunting down cheap used textbooks from third-party sellers, only to realize I couldnt share the cart. It was stressful because those cheap prices fluctuate constantly. Here are the two technical workarounds that keep your budget items intact:

  • Move to List: Under each item in your cart, click Add to List. You do not have to search for them again. Once they are all in the list, just share the link.
  • Share-A-Cart extension: This is a browser addon that generates a code for your cart. You send her the code, and the exact cheap sellers load into her cart. The list option is the safest bet, but the extension is faster.

  • Honestly, the wishlist method is not as good as expected, had too many issues with it. Last year I did that and got the wrong chemistry book anyway because the professor changed the syllabus day one. He actually fell asleep during our final exam... sorry kinda went off topic there. Anyway, I use Share-A-Cart whenever I need to send my cart to my sister, it's super simple.

Unfortunately, Amazon does not have a direct share cart button, which is honestly a major oversight and something I have had issues with in the past when trying to coordinate textbook purchases. To avoid losing your cheap editions and staying within your zero budget, here is the most efficient way to handle this without losing your progress:

  • Move to Wish List: Go to your cart and click Add to List next to each item. You do not have to search for them again.
  • Share the List: Go to your Lists, select the new list, and click Invite to send her the view-only link.
  • Check for Used Options: Before sharing, double-check the list to ensure the cheapest Used buying option is selected, as Amazon sometimes defaults back to new prices when moving items. It is not as good as expected and feels clunky, but this method will save you from copying fifteen different links.
