Found this sick vintage leather jacket for a concert next month and im so stoked! My budget is 150 but its listed at 200 now. I read online that watching it works but others say you gotta turn on a specific push toggle in the settings... where exactly is that toggle for price drops?

Wait, is it a specific brand or just a generic vintage find? Over the years, I've lost amazing pieces because the app notification lagged. I once missed a perfect biker jacket by minutes... honestly sucked. To save cash:

  • Check if the seller takes offers directly
  • In my current setup, I use PriceDropCatch to track my list since the official app is hit or miss

Saw this earlier but just now getting a chance to reply... Are you using the app on Android or iOS? The reason I ask is cause the push settings can get buried deep in the system menus sometimes, not just in the app itself. The ebay alerts are alright, but ngl they can be a bit slow to sync. If you're super stressed about that jacket selling out, i'd suggest checking out a free ebay price tracker as a backup. It basically pings you the second the price hits your target instead of waiting for ebay's servers to catch up. Its a bit more reliable for stuff you really want, tho you still gotta make sure your phone isnt silencing the notifications in sleep mode or whatever.

I am satisfied with how the eBay watch list handles this, no complaints. You are right that watching it is the first step, but the push toggle is what really clinches the deal so you dont miss the data sync. To get it set up:

  • Settings menu
  • Notifications
  • Buying section
  • Toggle on Price drops It works well for tracking price trends on specific items. Just a small point though... sometimes the app lags if you have battery saver on, so check your phone permissions too. It makes a huge difference for real-time alerts. Getting that jacket for 150 would be a total win, hope the seller drops it soon!

ive been using the native alerts for a while now and honestly once the background data refresh settings are dialed in the system works flawlessly for me. managed to snag some rare hardware last month because the alert hit my phone within seconds of the price drop. im satisfied with how the app handles the polling frequency as long as the OS isnt killing the process to save battery. are you seeing a delay in other notifications like outbid notices or is it just the price drops? also is the seller a high volume store or just an individual? usually helps to know if they use the automated markdown manager or just manual edits.
