I've been using Amazon since like 2012 and usually know the UI inside out but I'm totally stuck. My partner and I are finally buying furniture for our new place in Philly—got about $1,200 worth of stuff in my cart right now. I need him to check the dimensions on the coffee table and the rug color before I hit buy tonight but I can't find a share button anywhere.
I tried looking for an export tool but everything I see is just for Wish Lists. I don't have time to move 20 items to a list because some are on sale and might sell out soon. Is there a direct way to send a cart link or let him see my active cart? I'm really stressed because we need this delivered by the weekend...
> Is there a direct way to send a cart link or let him see my active cart? Honestly, amazon makes this way harder than it should be. I have been in your shoes before when furnishing my office, and I spent way too much time trying to find a magic link that just doesnt exist in the native UI. You might want to consider using a third party tool since the site usually restricts cart sharing to business accounts. Be careful when youre moving this quickly because the site can sometimes refresh your cart and clear out those limited time deals while you are messaging back and forth. I would suggest looking into how to share Amazon carts to find a reliable browser extension that lets you just send a direct link. It saves so much headache compared to taking twenty individual screenshots. As for the furniture itself, you cant really go wrong with any of the options from Zinus or Rivet. Just get any mid century style piece from them and the quality is usually solid for the price point. Make sure to double check those dimensions tho, because once it ships, returns are a total nightmare. I learned that the hard way with a sofa that wouldnt fit through my front door...
Agreeing with what was said above about using a tool, its definitely the most efficient way to keep your sanity. When you are looking at a $1,200 total, you have to be precise with the item versions to avoid the hassle of shipping back bulky furniture. Its much easier to review everything at once rather than sending individual links back and forth.
I saw this and had to jump in because I love a good furniture haul!! Its literally so annoying there is no button but dont panic!
Unfortunately, the lack of a native sharing feature is a real disappointment. My experience with this was pretty bad when we were buying appliances last year and it was not as good as expected. A third-party extension seemed like an option, but I am usually quite cautious about account security... it didnt feel right giving an app access to my session info with a high-value cart. Someone told me that Amazon Household profiles might sync things, though I am not 100% sure if that actually works for the shopping cart or just Prime benefits. Not sure if there is even time to set that up before the sales end tho. It is honestly frustrating that we have to deal with these hurdles for such a simple task.
