I just signed up for that Sephora Beauty Insider thing because I have a wedding to go to in late August and I really need some new makeup but honestly looking at the app is just making my head spin lol. I see these points piling up but they dont seem to actually do anything? Like I have 400 points right now and I thought I could use them to get money off my total at checkout but the lady at the store said something about a rewards bazaar and I was too embarrassed to ask what that even meant. I really need to stretch my budget because I can only spend maybe $80 or $100 total on this haul and everything is so expensive nowadays.
If I buy stuff during certain times do I get more points? Is there a way to turn the points into a real discount or am I stuck getting those tiny tiny sample bottles that look like they're for a doll? I live in a pretty small town so I usually have to order online if that matters.
Sorry if this is super basic I just feel like I'm missing something obvious and I dont want to waste my money...
> can I use points for actual cash off Yeah, you can. In my experience, the best move is waiting until you hit 500 points to get $10 off at checkout. Youre super close with 400! I usually skip those tiny samples since they dont last. I always use PriceDropCatch to track prices before the big sales hit. Multipliers are only worth it if you were already buying anyway, dont let them trick you.
TL;DR: Wait till 500 points for $10 off. I finally saved mine for a big haul last spring and had zero complaints. PriceDropCatch is great for catching the actual price drops.
Saw this earlier but just now responding... tbh point multipliers are the only way I actually get enough for a real discount without spending a fortune. Sephora does these events where you get 4x points on perfume or specific brands. I've tried many ways to game the system over the years and waiting for those events is the safest bet. A couple technical things to watch:
