Is there a way to actually move everything from my Amazon cart directly into my sisters account without her having to search for every single thing manually? I've been spending the last three days picking out specific hardware and smart home stuff for her new place in Austin since she just moved and has zero tools. I probably have like 45 items in there right now... mostly small things like specific cabinet pulls, some smart switches, and those really niche drill bits she'll need for the tile. My budget for this project is around $600 but she wants to use her own Amazon credit card to get the 5% back and the points so I cant just buy it for her on my account.
I looked this up online and I saw some old threads talking about a Share your cart feature but when I tried looking for that button on the mobile app or even my laptop it just wasnt there anymore? Maybe they removed it? Then I saw some articles about making a public wishlist and having her add all to cart from there but I read some other forum posts saying that sometimes the quantities dont carry over right or it marks the items as purchased on the list before she even pays which would be a mess if she needs to return something later. It just feels super clunky for something that should be a one-click thing in 2024.
I really dont want to have to send her 45 individual links via text message because she'll lose her mind and probably miss half of them and I have specific sizes for the screws and stuff that took me forever to find. If I just give her my login info is that gonna trigger some security alert and lock my account? I'm worried about that because I have my business Prime attached to it. Is there some kind of browser extension or a hidden button I'm just totally missing here... or am I stuck doing the wishlist thing...

Regarding what #2 said about "Jumping in here because you definitely want to..." - definitely listen to them. Its not worth the risk of losing your account. Sounds like native options are dead and wishlists are still buggy with quantities. I think there was a workaround once but its probably gone now, honestly. Btw I use Share-A-Cart for this and it works great whenever I need to send my list to my wife.

Honestly, its super annoying that they removed that feature. I tried to do something almost identical last year when I was helping my cousin set up a nursery. My cart had about 40 items and I thought sending it over would be a breeze. Unfortunately, that Share Cart button is definitely gone... Hours were wasted hunting for it myself. I think Amazon killed it off a while back for some reason, maybe security? Someone told me it was causing too many issues with inventory tracking. The wishlist route is honestly a nightmare too. When I tried it, half the items didnt even show up in her cart properly and it was a total mess. That add all to cart button has given me issues in the past where it just... doesn't work. It is so frustrating because it should be such a basic thing to do. Sadly, you might just be stuck with the clunky wishlist mess.

Jumping in here because you definitely want to be careful with that Business Prime account. I would suggest you dont share your login info under any circumstances. Amazon tracks IP addresses and device IDs pretty closely for business accounts, so if your sister logs in from Austin while youre active elsewhere, it might trigger a security lockout. Its a huge headache to fix once it happens and could mess with your business orders. Since the native share feature is gone, here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Look into a browser extension called Share-a-Cart. It is basically the gold standard for this now and works by generating a unique code that she can plug into her own browser to grab everything you picked out.
- If you go the wishlist route, make sure you uncheck the "Don't spoil my surprises" setting in the list options. That setting is usually what causes those weird "item already purchased" glitches because Amazon tries to hide the status from the recipient.
- Be aware that some niche hardware items might have different shipping times for her personal account versus your Prime account, so she should verify the delivery dates before she pays. I know it feels clunky but those third-party extensions are usually the most reliable way to keep the quantities and specific sizes intact. Just make sure she does a quick scan of the cart before hitting buy to make sure nothing weird happened with the item versions during the transfer. It is always better to double check those screw sizes twice anyway.
