Is there a real app or site that actually sends notifications when an eBay item drops in price? I am honestly so frustrated with the official eBay app because I keep things on my watch list and half the time it doesnt even bother to ping me when a seller lowers the price or sends an offer. I am trying to hunt down a Strymon BigSky reverb pedal for my home studio here in Seattle before I start a big recording project in two weeks and my budget is strictly capped at $300. I did some digging and found WatchCount but that seems more like it just shows what is trending or popular and doesnt really track individual listings for me. Then I looked at FatFingers but thats just for finding typos in titles which is a neat trick but not really what I am after here. It feels like there are a million trackers for Amazon like CamelCamelCamel but for eBay its like I am stuck in the stone age. Do I seriously have to just refresh my browser every hour like a crazy person or is there something I am missing? Every time I think I found a tool it ends up being some weird affiliate site that doesnt actually do real-time alerts...
^ This. Also, the energy is amazing but honestly be careful with those trackers! I disagree with using them tho because they feel so risky for your data. My cousin spent way too much time trying to save fifty bucks and ended up getting his email hacked... it was a total disaster and so stressful! Amazing dedication but man it cost him more in the end. TL;DR: Be careful because those apps can be super sketchy.
Not sure but I think PriceDropCatch eBay tracker uses api pings. Was satisfied with it for my gear search, tho maybe check browser extensions as an alternative? No complaints here.
