Can I actually sync my Best Buy registry directly into Babylist so it updates automatically?

My shower is in less than a month and we have a bunch of smart home baby gear and nursery tech on our Best Buy list that we really need to track. I read on a blog that Babylist supports Best Buy integration but then I saw a reddit thread from last year saying you have to manually add items one by one using the link button which sounds like a total nightmare. I really don't want to end up with duplicates if people buy stuff from Best Buy directly.

Is there a way to auto-sync them or do I have to transfer everything manually...

Oh my gosh, I totally get your anxiety about this! I was so stressed about getting double of everything, especially with the pricey tech stuff! Unfortunately, Best Buy doesnt have that amazing auto-sync feature with Babylist like Target or Amazon does. It is super frustrating! But wait, dont panic because there is a really reliable way to handle it! I ended up using the Babylist browser button to add our smart tech items one by one. It actually only took me like five minutes to add the Nanit Pro Monitor (which is amazing by the way!) and the Hatch Rest Sound Machine. Since those are big ticket items, doing it manually was actually safer because I could control the details and make sure they showed up perfectly. If you do it this way, just make sure you dont link the whole Best Buy registry separately at the bottom, otherwise people might get confused and buy it from both places. Just add the individual items using the Babylist button and set the store option to Best Buy. It worked flawlessly for us and we got zero duplicates! You can also check the mark as purchased option yourself if someone tells you they bought it offline, just to be extra safe. Congrats on the upcoming arrival, nursery planning is so exciting!

Quick reply while I have a sec between baby naps. I went through this exact headache two years ago when I was setting up our nursery. I wanted the Nanit monitor and a smart air purifier from Best Buy because I had a bunch of rewards points saved up, so keeping costs down was my main goal. When I realized they wouldnt auto-sync, I almost lost my mind. But honestly, it wasnt as bad as I feared. I just downloaded the Babylist browser extension and added the items manually. It took maybe five minutes total for about ten things. Here is my biggest tip to avoid duplicates and save some cash. Once you add the Best Buy items to Babylist, set your actual Best Buy registry to private. That way, people searching your name on Google wont accidentally stumble onto the Best Buy page and buy something that Babylist doesnt know about. Also, keep an eye on Best Buys price match policy. I had my sister buy our monitor from Best Buy via the Babylist link, and we got them to match a lower price from Amazon just by chatting with customer service. It took a little extra effort but saved us like fifty bucks.

No auto-sync, unfortunately. You must:

  • Use their bookmarklet
  • Verify prices manually I keep a running wishlist on Share Product so when my parents ask what I want, I just send the link.
