I just got a Canon RP for my sisters wedding next month but I have no clue about flashes. I saw some cheap ones on Amazon but I'm scared they wont fit or something?

My budget is like $100 max so i dont know if that's enough... do I need a specific Canon brand one?

I've been really satisfied with how my RP handles third-party flashes. You dont need the expensive Canon stuff. Since you're on a budget, I've been happy with how these perform:

I shot a cousins wedding with the RP and learned fast that a huge flash ruins the ergonomics. In my experience, TTL is a lifesaver when things move quickly. You definitely dont need the official Canon brand to get great shots.

Like someone mentioned earlier, staying small for the RP ergonomics is one way to go, but honestly I've been really satisfied with using a full-sized speedlite even if it looks a bit goofy on a tiny body. I kinda disagree that small is always better here tho... if the wedding venue has high ceilings you're gonna need that extra juice to bounce light properly. Ngl, the mini flashes sometimes struggle with recycle times when you're firing off shots quickly. I've been using the Neewer NW670 E-TTL Speedlite for Canon and for like 55 bucks the value is basically unbeatable. It has a Guide Number of 58m at ISO 100 which gives you tons of headroom compared to the smaller units. I havent had any complaints with the TTL accuracy either. Since you have a 100 dollar limit, you can grab that and still have cash left for a Vello Universal Bounce Diffuser and some decent rechargeable cells like the Powerex 2700mAh Rechargeable AA 4-Pack. Having that extra power and faster recycling means you wont miss the big moments because your flash is still charging. It feels solid and works well with the RP autofocus assist too... super helpful when the reception lighting gets dim. Just keep it in E-TTL mode and let the camera handle the technical specs while you focus on the framing.
