What are the best SD cards for the Canon EOS R10? I'm looking for recommendations that balance speed and reliability, especially for shooting both stills and video. Are there specific brands or models that perform well with this camera? Any advice on UHS-I vs. UHS-II cards would also be appreciated. Thanks!

For the Canon EOS R10, prioritize UHS-II SDXC cards rated V60 or V90 for optimal speed and reliability. SanDisk Extreme Pro cards are a popular choice, but buy from reputable retailers to avoid fakes. While UHS-I cards work, UHS-II leverages the R10's full potential for stills and video. Consider your budget and shooting needs when choosing capacity.

I use the SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB SDXC UHS-II card in my R10. It handles both photos and 4K video smoothly with its V90 speed rating. Make sure to get a UHS-II card to take full advantage of the camera's capabilities.

Everyone screams V90 or bust, but when you look at the R10s actual write requirements, its kinda overkill if you're watching your wallet. I almost blew a hundred bucks on a single card before realizing a solid V60 handles the 230Mbps max bitrate of this camera without breaking a sweat. I ended up grabbing the Kingston Canvas React Plus 128GB UHS-II V90 because it tends to be way more affordable than SanDisk while still giving you that overhead. If you really wanna save some cash tho, I'd suggest the Lexar Professional 1667x 128GB SDXC UHS-II V60. It has been super reliable for me during long bursts. Just a warning, make sure to run a benchmark tool on any new card you buy. Fakes are everywhere on the big retail sites and theyll definitely ruin your day if the buffer hangs during a critical shot... seen it happen to friends and it sucks.

Get any UHS-II V90 cards.
