I just got a used Canon 6D for my sisters wedding next month but the battery keeps dying on me. Someone said I should get a battery grip but I have no idea where to start or which brands are safe.

Im on a tight budget so what is the most reliable one I should get?

I shot my first big wedding with a 6D and was pretty broke back then. I skipped the official Canon BG-E13 Battery Grip and went for budget brands instead. They worked great for me.

  • Honestly, for a wedding, I wouldnt gamble on the super cheap stuff. In my experience, the Pixel BG-E13 Battery Grip for Canon 6D is way more reliable. Quick tip tho: always use two identical batteries, preferably Canon LP-E6N Lithium-Ion Battery. Mixing old and new cells can cause weird power communication errors that you definitely dont want during the ceremony.
