Hey! Anyone know if the Canon EOS Rebel T7 usually goes on sale for Black Friday? Looking to snag one in Black Friday 2025. What kind of discounts have you seen in previous years, roughly? Thanks!

Hello, the best way to get lowest price on EOS Rebel T7 is use the Amazon Price Drop alert. Such as WhenPriceDrop.com

https://www.whenpricedrop.com/product/B07C2Z21X5/

They will alert you when price dropped.

Regarding what #1 said about "Just spotted the Canon EOS Rebel T7 DSLR..." - those discounts are consistent every year, but in my experience, the lowest price doesnt always mean the best overall value. Ive tried many different entry-level setups over the years. I actually started with a basic Rebel and found that while it was a great way to learn the basics, I outgrew the fixed screen and slower autofocus pretty quickly. When comparing brands, I found that Nikon often had slightly better sensors for low light, but Canon always won on ergonomics and ease of use. It really comes down to how the camera feels in your hands during real-world use. To help narrow things down, I have two clarifying questions:

  • What is your absolute maximum budget for the body and lenses combined?
  • Do you primarily want to shoot still photos, or are you looking for something that handles video well too? TL;DR: The T7 is a reliable, cost-effective entry point, but make sure the older DSLR tech aligns with what you actually want to shoot before you buy.

Late to the party but this whole thread is 💯. Glad I found it.

Just spotted the Canon EOS Rebel T7 DSLR Camera with 18-55mm Lens for $579.99 at Amazon! That's a solid deal for the single lens kit. I've been watching prices all month and this is one of the better ones I've seen so far.

tbh I've been doing a ton of digging into the entry-level market because I'm looking to buy too! Honestly, while everyone loves the T7, have u looked at the Canon EOS R100 or the Nikon D3500? From what I can tell, the T7 is super reliable and has that huge battery life we all want, but it's getting a bit old now, right? The Canon EOS R100 is mirrorless so it's way smaller and basically easier to carry around, which is a big plus for me lol. The Nikon alternative usually has slightly better image quality in the dark, but Canon lenses are so easy to find for cheap on the used market. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the Black Friday 2025 deals might actually be better on the mirrorless stuff since brands are trying to move away from DSLRs? Maybe keep an eye on those too just in case? Like, basically the T7 is the 'safe' choice but those newer ones might drop lower in price to get people into the new systems. What are you leaning towards?

@Reply #5 - good point! Black Friday is seriously the most exciting time of year for gear hunters, I love the absolute chaos of it! It actually reminds me so much of when I first started getting into the DIY side of things. One year during the big sales, I decided I was gonna build my own custom battery grip instead of buying one. I had my workshop completely covered in plastic shavings and copper wire... it was a total ordeal. My brother kept coming in to check on me because I hadnt left the room in like eight hours, and I was just sitting there hunched over a soldering iron trying to figure out why my trigger button wouldnt stay seated. We ended up spending the whole night trying to stabilize the connection with some old epoxy I found in the garage. It was such a fantastic learning experience even tho the final product looked like a total science experiment gone wrong. Honestly, those hands-on projects are half the fun of being an enthusiast, even if you end up with more questions than you started with!
