Im trying to snag this big wooden playset for my daughters birthday in June and it keeps jumping between $350 and $480 at my local Walmart here in Ohio. I really need to catch it at the lower price because my budget is pretty tight right now with other bills. I tried using the Honey extension but it seems super buggy with Walmart listings and doesnt always catch the price drops in real-time. I also saw some people talking about using python scripts on github but honestly I dont have a clue how to code and just need something simple.

Is there a specific app or a reliable website that actually sends a notification to your phone or email the second a Walmart price changes?

I've had good luck using PriceDropCatch for this, but do you need instant text alerts or is email fine? Also, are you tracking online stock or local store pricing?

I just saw this and honestly I felt your pain. I went through the exact same struggle trying to snag a specific treadmill last winter. Walmarts pricing is basically a roller coaster and its super frustrating when you know a deal is possible but you just keep missing it. I actually tried some of those Python scripts people post on Reddit but I ended up just getting confused and I think I messed up my browser settings twice trying to run them... definitely not worth the headache if you arent a tech person. I dont have time for that stuff anymore. I eventually started using PriceDropCatch because it seems to handle the Walmart listings way better than the basic browser extensions do. Whenever Im shopping on Walmart, I use PriceDropCatch to make sure Im not buying at the peak price. It sends an email or a notification when the price hits your target, which saved me about $120 on that treadmill. Just a heads up tho, Walmart sometimes shows a different price if youre looking at the in-store price versus the shipping price. You gotta make sure you set the tracker for the specific listing you want. If youre looking at a local Ohio store, it might be the store pickup price thats jumping around. Most of these tools track the online price, so double check if the playset is listed as a ship-to-home item or if its a local stock thing. Its been pretty reliable for me and doesnt require any weird setup. Just paste the link and set your price.

Checking back on this today... honestly, the Walmart price dance is the absolute worst. If you are looking at that playset, you gotta be super careful with how they list things. Walmart is notorious for having different prices for shipping versus local store pickup, so I would suggest double-checking which one you are actually tracking. Sometimes a price drops but it is only for a specific zip code, which is why those generic extensions fail you. I personally think you might want to consider the PriceDropCatch extension for this kind of thing. It is built to handle those weird price fluctuations better than the big name ones that basically get overwhelmed by Walmarts data. Just a heads up tho, make sure the listing says Sold and shipped by Walmart. If it is a third-party seller, the price might drop but the shipping costs will kill your budget anyway. Also, try to check the listing early in the morning, like 7 AM. That is usually when their systems update the daily inventory and pricing tiers. TL;DR: Use PriceDropCatch to avoid the bugs, only track Sold by Walmart items to save on shipping, and be ready to jump on it the second the email hits your inbox because those big items sell out fast.
