Im trying to grab a new TV for the guest room before my sister gets here on the 22nd and the prices on Walmart.com are literally driving me insane right now. I have been refreshing the page every couple hours and it feels like the numbers are just jumping all over the place constantly. Right now I am torn between getting the Hisense 65 inch U8H which is sitting at like $698 or holding out for the Sony X90K that is currently $899 but I have seen it lower before. My absolute max budget is 800 bucks so the Sony is out of reach unless it drops again soon. I am really worried if I wait for the Sony to hit that magic $799 price point then the Hisense will sell out or go back up to its normal price and I will be stuck with nothing when she arrives. I swear I saw the Hisense for $640 yesterday but then it went back up before I could even click buy. Does Walmart use some kind of weird tracker that raises prices when they see someone refreshing a lot? I need to know if I should just pull the trigger now or if there is a specific time of day like midnight or something when they update their holiday rolls. How often do these online prices actually change during the peak holiday weeks?

Unfortunately, Walmart uses dynamic pricing algorithms that update hourly based on stock.

  • That Sony isnt dropping soon.
  • Hisense U8H specs are better for $698.
  • Buy it now before it fluctuates.

Sadly, I had issues with Hisense panels failing early. Walmarts pricing is a slot machine lately... I ended up checking Best Buy just to find a more stable price point.
