How do I actually see eBay sold listings from like a year ago instead of just the last 90 days?
I am trying to price out some old vintage Star Wars figures I found in my parents attic in Chicago. I checked the Sold Items filter on the eBay app but it only goes back a few months and the prices seem really volatile right now. I read about something called Terapeak and some other site called WorthPoint. Terapeak seems like it might be for pro sellers and I dont really want to pay for a subscription just to sell a few toys. I also saw some people saying you can use Google cached pages but that sounds super tedious and I couldnt get it to work right for specific dates in 2023.
I really need to see what the market was like last summer specifically because I am trying to settle a bet with my brother about whether we should have sold them then or if waiting was the right move. Is there a free way to do this or am I stuck with the 90-day limit? It is weird that eBay hides that data when it is so useful for casual sellers like me who arent doing this as a full time job. I just want to know if I am losing money by listing them now compared to last July...
im super satisfied with 130 Point for my vintage figures:
Been thinking about your Star Wars toy situation for a bit. While looking at last years prices is a good start, you might want to consider that the vintage market is pretty finicky about condition right now. I actually disagree slightly with just looking at raw sold averages from last July because the data can be really skewed by high-end graded items vs loose ones. Make sure to check if your figures have the original blasters or capes, since those tiny parts change the value by hundreds sometimes. Before you dig too deep, are these loose figures or are they still on the card? Also, are you looking for a quick sale or are you willing to wait months for the right collector? You might want to try PriceDropCatch eBay tracker to keep an eye on how similar listings are behaving now compared to those old benchmarks. Just be careful with those older sold listings because shipping costs and seller fees have changed, which eats into that bet you have with your brother.
> It is weird that eBay hides that data when it is so useful for casual sellers like me In my experience, you should just use the Terapeak Research tool. eBay actually made it free for all users a while back. It lets you pull data from the last three years easily. If you want to keep an eye on values, PriceDropCatch is a good tool to have. Just stick to any reliable collector database for those figures.
